ECO-ROAST
The eco-roast process harnesses innovative technology to preserve energy, cut emissions, and unlock the rich, natural flavors of every bean—just as nature intended. This sustainable method ensures every cup fuels your adventures while treading lightly on the planet.
The journey begins with customers savoring a rich cup of coffee at their favorite coffee shop. Behind the scenes, the shop gathers used coffee grounds in specially repurposed containers provided by their supplier. When the next batch of fresh coffee is delivered, these containers are collected, ensuring a seamless cycle of reuse.
After collection, the coffee grounds go through a screening process to remove any foreign materials before being thoroughly dried. Once dried, they are fed into a mechanical press, where pressure forces them through a specialized die, shaping them into the bio-fuel that powers the Eco Roasters.
The third stage of the process is roasting, where custom-built Eco Roasters transform the Coffee Bio-Fuel into the heat needed to roast fresh coffee beans to perfection. Designed for maximum efficiency, these roasters require just 40g of Bio-Fuel to roast 1000g of coffee. Any excess heat is captured and stored in large thermal tanks, providing sustainable heating for the roastery.
In the final stage, the freshly roasted beans are rapidly cooled, de-stoned, and packed into valved bags to preserve their freshness. They are then boxed and prepared for delivery. For customers participating in the Coffee-Eco System, these beans are delivered alongside the collection of their coffee waste, creating a seamless and carbon-neutral supply cycle.
The cycle then starts again.
